To celebrate Maria Calla’s birthday one more time before the day is over, I present her “Seguidilla” from Bizet’s Carmen

I absolutely love Calla’s Carmen.  She is a true actress and that translates into her incredible portrayal of this complicated and powerful character.

Gotta love that bling flashing in the lights!  Also, I love her little laugh in the middle.  She is such a fantastic lady… I don’t really care what people say about her, she is a role model to me because she was a true artist.  She had intense passion for what she did and that, to me, is crucial to artistry and something that should never be criticized.
